Chinuk Wawa Cedar Unit
A unit for teaching K-adults about the process of harvesting cedar bark and its uses, compiled by NILI and the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde.
This cedar unit contains materials that will serve to teach cedar harvesting, processing and basket making for children and adults. It was compiled by NILI in collaboration with the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and basketry expert Connie Graves and basketry consultant Margaret Mathewson. Funding was provided by the Spirit Mountain Community Fund, 2010.
