A unit for teaching K-12 on the processing of acorns, including the curriculum and the Little Acorn storybook.

Developed by the Northwest Indian Language Institute in collaboration with the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde and ethno-botanist Doctor Margaret Mathewson, this unit contains information about two separate methods of processing acorns- the Northern Method and the Southern Method, Each of these methods was used by the people who lived at Grand Ronde. Which method was used, was determined by the geographical origin of their tribes.
